Explore Craft Beer Tour Routes!

This site is intended as a tool to plan your tour of Vancouver's craft beer breweries. The idea is to encourage people to check out and support the many new craft breweries. This also gives you a reason to get out and explore the Vancouver area. An added beneift is some exercise if you do your tour on foot or on a bike (only if you limit yourself to be able to ride safely).

I wrote this site to help my friends and I plan out interesting brewery tours and as a project to help teach myself front-end web technologies like Javascript, Jquery Mobile, and responsive design.

What locations to include on the map isn't a totally clear cut decision. All locations that brew their own beer and that have a tasting room should be on the map for sure. For pubs it is less clear. Most pubs now serve at least some craft beer. But the purpose of the locations on this map to show locations that make their own beer or are very focused on local craft beer. So for now, I've only included pubs that have fairly large selections of local craft beer and are the kind of place where I would go to try a flight of beers I've never had before. This is pretty subjective for sure. If you have suggestion for changes in content, send me a message.
